Our policy positions for the Victorian State Election

 

Victoria goes to the polls on 28 November 2026. Compassion In Politics Australia has put together a set of policy positions we believe deserve a place in every party's platform.

 

These aren't abstract ideas. They're practical, achievable reforms — from a pledge for more respectful conduct in parliament, to stronger protections against misleading political advertising, to making sure new laws don't push Victorians further into hardship. Each one is grounded in reforms already working, or being seriously considered, elsewhere in Australia and overseas.

 

We're not asking any party to adopt everything wholesale.

We're asking them to take these positions seriously, and to talk to us about how compassion can shape their platform ahead of the election.
